Yarn Ornaments- A creative Christmas craft from the students of Marshalltown St. Paul's Preschool!

All you need is

  • Balloon
  • Glue
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Yarn
  • Glitter
  • Ribbon
  1. Make a thick (like soup)  mixture of glue, sugar and water.
  2. Blow up a small balloon.
  3. Dip long colorful yarn pieces in the mixture of glue, sugar and water.
  4. Roll the dipped yarn pieces over the balloon until it’s mostly covered.
  5. Pour glitter over the balloon and let dry (24 Hours)
  6. When the yarn is dry (it will be stiff), pop the balloon and remove it.
  7. Tie a ribbon and make a bow.
  8. Tie a piece of yarn to hang.
A special thanks to Marshalltown St. Paul's Preschool for sharing their creative craft. Hope you all will experience the same excitement and joy of grins and giggles as they did while working on the project. The ornaments make an awesome replacement for balloons (you can hang them on jute twine) and can be reused for decorations on any occasion.
Thanks for stopping in and have a colorful day!!
